It has been sometimes since I update this blog. Today I collected my second Oakley - Fuel Cell with fullest option. Prescription polarized Black Iridium len with 9% transmissiblitiy. My other Oakley is Mortar. Both added together have cost me more than £600.

NSX and Mc Laren F1

Probably I would never see these to cars together in real life. Gordon Murray the designer for Mc Laren F1 said that he gt inspiraton for the sportcars when he drove the NSX. He was impressed with the handling and comfort of the car and the exotic material the NSX was built with.

NSX, Kamen Rider etc

It is time again to update this blog. I have recently ordered from AutoArt UK one of the latest product that is a 1990 Honda NSX model. This is a signature edition hence the price US$177.00. The detail is as expected for every AutoArt model extremely detail down to the brake caliper marking.

Another two that I have order from Japan are the Kamen Rider the First (remake) and Nene Anegasaki. I've also ordered Yoda lightsaber pen that lights up. These will sit infront of my TV.

The linkage between #'s 1, 6 and 9 looks like the rod that comes down from the outside handle. It fits into a slot in the actual latching mechanism. If it came out, you need to put it back in with one of the above parts.

This is the part number of the parts in my hand in the first pic. It includes a white snap clip, a yellow snap collar and a metal washer.

Future upgrades for the NSX

In my quest for beauty in art for my NSX (I am an artist myself) I have listed the following upgrades for the NSX. Two most expensive parts in the upgrades are the carbon kevlar NSX-R seat (USD 2500) and Advan RZ wheels (USD2300).

Drive shaft boot

I recently sent my car to Sing Hiap Hin for the drive shaft boot regreasing. Prior to the servicing I have heard tapping sound and the car feel jerking whenever the car start from stoplight. After the service car is more stable and no more noise. There is some whining noise coming from the engine side which was addressed to me by Silan to be pulley noise. I will try to order the parts.

Also while I'm at SHH the rear brake disc was repaired and new pads were installed. Good job SHH. I'm still confused why some people are complaining about the shop. For me they are the doctor for my car and true NSX experts are difficult to find in this country.

New paint after the accident. The rear spoiler also get new paint. New engine mounts are on the way. I made my decision to purchase Work S1 3-piece when I get back from study.

NSX headlamp new HID install

I went to Sin Hoe Huat the buy the new HID kit as the old one was busted by the improper detachement from the paintshop. The new HID bulb is 6000 Watt as opposed to the old one 4500 Watt. This give a bluish light which I like. I actually wanted to install the 8000 Watt bulb. Maybe next time. Props to the shop for the tidy wiring. Sin Hoe Huat people seems to know what they are doing. I will become their regular customer from now on.

NSX headlamp and body repair

The headlamp costs me more than $2,000. Upon receiving the headlamp the paintshop repair and bondo the car within two days. The paint took another day and I collected the car the next day which was monday June 22 2010 just one day before my 34th birthday.

NSX Accident

It happened the day I went home to start my holiday June 6th 2010. After going out the flyover the car in front of me decided to stop in the left lane. Thinking the car was far ahead after looking one car passing by I press the gas to go into the left lane. I didn't know the red car was stopping there so I heard this loud popping noise. To make the story short I went to the police station to lodge the police report, claim insurance and sent the car to the paint shop for bodywork.

Polishing headlight - Part 3

After polishing the headlamp, clean the surrounding area (bumper and hood) with some water. Make sure no splash get onto the headlamp until the polishing liquid is cured.

Other Meguires stuff I have is the Quick Car Wax and Quick Interior Detailer. I have used many other brands and this is the best so far.

Polishing headlight - Part 2

Apply some amount of the liquid to the surface of the headlamp and I spread the liquid by hand. Make sure the hand and the surface of the headlamps is clean. Massage the surface gently and massage the moldy patches more. Once dry wipe the headlamp clean using a clean soft towel or tissue paper. As seen from one of the photo is the difference between the tow headlamp, one is polished and the other one is not. The colour difference is noticable.

My headlamp developed some moldy patches and is yellowing due to the exposure to sunlight being driven everyday. Most of my car caring stuffs are from Meguires. They are easy to use. You can see closeup in the photo the condition of the headlamps.

Wings and exhaust

Will be getting these hopefully soon. Route KS Super Eagle wing (possibly the widest and biggest wings built for road driven NSX). Also is the GT-One F1 Version 6.1 exhaust which was claimed to have higher pitch than the F355 Tubi exhaust and very close to the Formula 1 exhaust note.

The kit will contribute to lighter weight and better aerodynamics to go along what is already installed currently (Tein Superstreet, HKS light exhaust, NSX-R conversion).

I was able to hang out with the White Rabbit this week. Actually Supercar was to tag along but something came up so only two NSX's were able to make it. White rabbit has done quite a lot of upgrades that I was so green with envy. Hopefully the others can make it in the future. Would look nicer to have a group of Nippon supercars in one place.

I know it's a bit too late to say happy new year. So what have I been doing since last time.

I got my vehicle approved by Land Transport for yearly road worthiness. For that I have to remove the tint I have on the windows (worth around $200), NSX-R spoiler (I could always put it back on), 18 inches Works rims. All within one night with bad back!

Work wise many more things to do.

Car wise a few parts are on order.

Leasure wise going back to the gym.

Ahemm wise still looking.

Been quite busy lately with school works. The car has been behaving well so far. Starts everytime. The first photo is where I always have my "Ayam Penyet". So far it's the best I ever eaten. The second photo is taken tonight when I watched Star Wars. Nice movie. As can be seen I took the chance of taking my car and my friend's. Mine is lowered as it appears and I've added wheel spacers/ adapters to push out the oem wheels out a lil' bit. Nice eh?

Car died again

Car died again last saturday. Brought it to the workshop and get the dignostic code. Problem with Ignition Signal Output. Bought a new Ignitor unit from Happy Motoring for $460. Plug and play and the car is alive again. Too soon to say anything. Will be monitoring the performance of the car this week.

DIY Brake Reservoir

I had found my brake reservoir having spiderweb (cracking). No leak yet but as precautionary approach I purchase these Spoon socks to cover them from sunlight.

Wheel adapter

I have custom made adapters for the front and rear to push the wheels so that they sit flush to the fenders. These are not ordinary wheel spacers as they come with their own hub to support the wheels rather than sitting on the wheel studs. Advantage of this is added track width for look as well as lowered center of gravity.

The front adapters are 25mm thick as can be seen on top. Rear are 35mm. Front cost me about $350 a pair and rear $560. Still they are cheaper than getting new wheels and you can still keep the oem wheels.

As can be seen is the Mazda 808 classic car. The owner didn't want to sell the car even when I offered to buy it from him.

The damn car cannot start today. Classic case of Main Relay. My flux capacitor decided to take a rest today just when the day is good. The car had to be towed. I'll try to check if Happy Motor have the relay tomorrow.

Movie: Batman (Dark Knight)

The movie is true to it's title. Another classic movie. Just imagine Silence of the Lamb but put it into bigger proportion. Intense. I think this time Joker stole the limelight. No wonder he is Batman's arc enemy. Great performance from the late Heath Ledger. Also not known on the movie was the appearance of the Batgirl to be (Gordon's daughter). I will be watching the movie again for the second time. I tell you it's that good.

Movie: Hellboy 2

From my favourite artist Mike Mignola who've also drawn Batman comics and Bramstoker Dracula a second installment of Hellboy (his creation). The movie was great. It makes me love elves somemore and value natures more. Hope to see Batman next week.

Btw the movie is a must-watch.

Hilarious Korean movie about a young man who is always under the shadow of his big brother. He fell in love with a girl who lives in the forest. The girl was saved by the big brother and he planned to make her as part of the family. The young brother took a wrong message and left heartbroken. Along the way he saved a monk who later gave him an advise to achieve his desire. (Hint...big gun)

Soon crazy things start happening. A very good watch for the grown up.

Not a good movie. Even with the cast Will Smith, Jason Bateman and the beautiful Charlize Theron could not save this movie. I will not collect the DVD of this movie. Btw this movie is more about love story rather than action movie.

Watched the movie yesterday. What can I say…Friggin explosive movie. The ability to sway the bullet across obstacles. Fast pacing, adrenaline charge and beautiful woman. Best action movie after Face Off. Man I want to be this guy.
